MODE OF ACTION: Chlorpyrifos (organophosphate group) works by blocking an enzyme which controls messages that travel between nerve cells. When the enzyme is blocked, the nervous system can’t send normal signals, which causes the nervous system to malfunction, eventually killing the pest.
