APPLAUD is an insect growth regulator specifically for the control of whiteflies in citrus, roses and tomatoes; and mealy bugs in passion fruits. It works by killing the larvae of the target insect during its moulting stage.
APPLAUD affects the insect through vapour action, stomach and contact poisoning. APPLAUD has no effect on nymph and adults but reduces the next generation by suppressing laying of eggs and the adults lay unhatchable eggs. In the case of a high number of adult insects, it is advisable that APPLAUD is mixed with adulticides like Duduthrin.
