MODE OF ACTION: Bentazone: Selective contact herbicide, absorbed mainly by the foliage, with very little translocation, but also absorbed by roots, with translocation acropetally in the xylem. Fomesafen: Selective herbicide, absorbed by both leaves and roots, with very limited translocation in the phloem Quizalofop-p-ethyl: System herbicide, absorbed from the leaf surface, with translocation throughout the plant, moving in both xylem and phloem, and accumulating in the meristematic tissue.
