Nordox 75 WG red copper fungicide
Nordox 75 WG is a copper-based fungicide formulated as water-dispersible granules. The 1 kg pack contains cuprous oxide, equivalent to 750 g/kg metallic copper. In Kenya, its registered uses include coffee berry disease and coffee leaf rust in coffee, early and late blight in tomatoes, and rust in French beans. Use it only for the listed crop and disease combinations.
Where Nordox 75 WG is used
- Coffee: For preventive control of coffee berry disease and coffee leaf rust.
- Tomatoes: For preventive control of early and late blight.
- French beans: For preventive control of rust.
Nordox 75 WG is intended for use in a planned crop disease-management programme. Identify the disease before spraying, and aim for even coverage of the crop. A fungicide application works best when it is timed for the crop and disease risk; it cannot replace good crop monitoring and sound field management.
Application and safe handling
Use the crop-specific rate, timing, spray interval and pre-harvest interval provided with the registered Kenyan product. The correct amount for a 20-litre knapsack depends on the crop directions and sprayer calibration, so do not apply a guessed or general rate. Follow the product’s safety instructions and wear the protective equipment specified for mixing and spraying. Keep the product locked away and out of children’s reach.
